Vitamine B11

Vitamine B11, ook wel foliumzuur genoemd, maakt onderdeel uit van het vitamine Bcomplex. Foliumzuur is belangrijk voor het immuunsysteem. Ook is het belangrijk voor het vormen van rode bloedcellen en het opbouwen van weefselgroei tijdens de zwangerschap. Zwangere vrouwen of vrouwen die zwanger willen worden, krijgen vaak het advies om 400 microgram per dag extra te nemen vanaf 4 weken voor tot 8 weken na de conceptie.
